In order to be certified for the bio-based content in products according to Bio-based content certification scheme, an organization needs to be assessed by an independent authority: a certification body. Only certification bodies that have entered into an agreement with NEN are allowed to do these conformity assessments. This safeguards that the certification bodies meet the quality requirements set by the scheme owner (NEN).
